Mom's visa got rejected 3rd time!!!

Hi all,
my mom had her interview on this Friday at 8 am, this is
her 3rd time going 1st time they asked her how many
children's do you have...after she answered the question they
rejected her visa under 214(b) 2nd time they asked for her
ration card and which she forgot to take with her and again
they rejected her asked her to come back again under 214(b)
yesterday no questions were asked even though she hand over
the letter stating her ties in india and why would go back
still they rejected her visa. i am really upset over
this...i wish this officers could face this kind of
situation once in their life time where they cannot meet
their parents/children. my mom is 63 year old widow cannot
speak english at all...on the other hand my in laws attended
the interview on monday they got it for 10 year my FIL is
retried but still working volunteer my MIL is a house wife
no questions were asked to my MIL..
is it worth having an attorney for my mother's case?? or
should i wait till i become a citizen and sponsor her
immigrant visa?? i still need to wait for a year to apply
for my citizenship. ..........please advise me....

You of course do know and understand why the visa was rejected. You're just venting your frustration.

Anyway, you should approach your local state senator's office and ask them to help you out. They're usually pretty good and they can and do send notification to AMCON in your country to issue the visa.

Also, you can surely consult an attorney and check out what all you can produce for your parent to show higher possibility of returning back to home country.

Just move quickly and consistently, you may be surprised at the results.

Ah! That's a bummer. I'd be frustrated too. Of course, you need to get hold of an attorney and see if you can either re-apply from another angle or up front sue AMCON.

There are ways to file a complaint against AMCON too, you just need to explore them.

However, a more friendly approach would be better initially and if nothing else works, then ...

I'm sorry man, I'm lost too at the moment, as in your particular case there may be something specific that I'm not aware of which has caused this rejection by AMCON.

Attorney and that too a high level senior one is your best bet at the moment.

Also, do re-approach the senator's office and let them know you're unhappy with the things as they occur. Next year is an election year and they need to have friendly people around. Pick a democrat, they're liberal and tend to help you more.

thanks for the advise...i will re approach the senator as i
am living in IL it self and Obama would be the next one going
to the elections i will try my luck agian in a friendly
manner as you said if not i really wonder if i could sue the
AMCON with the way of dealing things...i strongly feel these
are the reasons for people going in illegal ways to obtain
visa's dont you think so gurus? they should have given the
proper reason before rejecting..well anyway wish me and my

ya i agree with soumya 19 that there are so many clean cases that get rejected mainly because of "bad mood" of the visa officer. This is just my opinion that cases that are handled ealier in the day have a better chance of being considered positively may be because the VO are not faigued by then. I understand that the VO are overburdened but that does not mean that the applicant gets only like 30 seconds to prove his case. If they can't handle the crowd then they should increase the work force there.
I would really like to know the statistics of how many B2 visa holders default/overstay/abuse the visa. I would like to know the VO's point of view in making a judgment if he/she sees even a sligtest in-descripancy in the application.

Reading some of the people's experiences on this forum I doubt the usual argument that VO considers every applicant as possible immigrant unless the applicant proves othervise.

It seems like the applicant is totally on the mercy of the VO and I wonder if sueing AMCON might cause more rejections in future.
