  • Visitor's visa help

    Hi,
My parents applied for tourist visa .I have one brother studying there in India and parents had all the relevant documents showing properties.
Myself and myhusband both are on H1 visa. I was sponsering them and I am working on deputation in US from an Indian company.

    Just 3 questions VO asked.

    1)About brother.

They told for 3 months he will be staying in hostel

2)About managing the house when they come to US

They told the house will be given to a caretaker for 3months
    3) Their annual income

They told it as 3 lakhs.

But VO officer denied the visa telling that chances of their coming back is less because of this less annual income in India. They have property worth 60 lakhs in their name (house and property in which they are living)

We are planning to write some more property in their name so that the annual income can be shown as 10 lakhs and go for appointment again within 3 months. Please reply whether this is ok. Any other helpful tips when they go next time.

    Thanks,
    Anitha

sudden jump in income will be questioned and visa will be denied again.

    better option;
let your mother apply alone after a few months.
your father should be shown employed in some private activity, if you showed retired last time.

      Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Last time I showed my father's activity as agriculture.

Mother is housewife. So what if I apply for mother alone after 2 months and

once she get that then after some 2 months apply for father also with the

increased annual income ,say 6 lakhs. In this 4 months some more property

can be shown as purchased in thier name and thus account for the annual

income increase. Please post your suggestions about this.

      Thanks,
      Anu

even if your mother gets it , your dad should still wait till next year.
The next return he files, he can show increased income.
