hi, my 17 yrs old son would be arriving SFO soon on B2 visa to visit his sister and I would like to know if he can avail any assistance inside airport/immirgration just in case if he faces any problem with immigration. What happens next if his entry is refused for any unknown reason. Please advise[

He should carry an invitation letter from his sister in US which should state her address, tel no, visa status in US.
The inspectors routinely ask two questions from each visitor; purpose of visit and desired length of stay . He should be able to answer that( visiting sister for 2-3 months) and there won't be any problems. Usually problems arise at immigration entry for repeat visitors who visit too frequently without any definite purpose, people with criminal backgrounds, previous overstays, immigration violations or fraudulent documents.
I do not think any of this will apply to your son. Even if there are any doubts,
they send the visitor to secondary inspection where the officer himself calls the host in US to confirm the situation. If your son can carry a cell phone that works in US, that will be an additional help.
