  • Uncle & Aunty got 10 years visa - 1st attempt

I sponsored my wife's uncle & aunty, they got 10 years multiple entry visit visa on their 1st attempt, here are the details about them

    - Uncle retired few months ago, aunty in her early 50s
    - Uncle & Aunty have no children

I would like to thank immihelp team for providing useful information on the website, especially the "interview tips" without which i don't think they would have got the visa.

I will be checking this thread for the next few days, if anyone has any questions you may reply to this thread.

    Thanks

We are planning to apply visa for my husband's uncle (Father's younger brother) and Aunty.

Did u provide any documents to prove the relationship between your wife and uncle/aunty?

Because if we are sponsoring our parents their name will be in our passport. But in this case we have no proof to confirm the relationship.

what all documents your uncle and aunty provide?

Thanks in advance for your help!

To sucessfully obtain a visitor (B-2) visa, the alien must prove strong ties to their home country. Thus demonstrating no intention to immigrate (overstay the duration of their visit) to the USA.

Accomplishing this is more important than having a sponsor, regardless of the relationship (son, brother, friend, etc) with the sponsor. It is more important to prove to the consular officer that the alien will in fact return to their home country after the visit.
