Visiting a different city on visit visa

Hi all,

I have a brother resident in Toledo, OH. I gave his address on my visit visa application. I got the visa, but now I want to visit a friend in Dallas, TX first for a week before I go to to Toledo for another 3 weeks. Is this allowed? Will this get me in trouble with immigration?

I'm probably being paranoid, but I've heard a lot of horror stories about US immigration in general recently. Thanks for any info.
