visa date vs. travel date

Hello I can see that the visa dates are available in Nov 07 for regional language in Mumbai. Since there is chace that the visa dates won't be available when we are all prepared to travel (for example May 08), I am planning to get the visa done whenever the dates are available.

Can Somebody please answer my following questions-

If the parents want to travel in May 08 should they apply for visa in Nov 07?? Is it necessary that you write in the visa application that you will be travelling immideately after you get the visa?

Visa dates for Gujarati interview - Mumbai

Hi,

I have been trying lately to get (tourist) visa interview dates for Gujarati language at Mumbai consulate. I am not able to see any date being available for about 2 weeks now. I know VFS earlier used to open up dates for next month's one week for interview dates on a particular day of the week (Monday ?? may be).

1) Has anyone taken interview dates lately?
2) What is the good time to check the VFS site for next available date?
3) What is the current date in the running?

Any info / directions would be appreciated.

I had checked on last Thursday (30th aug) and dates were available for 1st Nov ( marathi language)
