  • Wife is green card holder

Situation - I got married in November end 2006. Wife is pregnant and has gone to usa in August 2007.
my H1B was rejected on Nov 1st week for no end client letter from the consultant.
I want to go to US in december 2007.
Wife is a green card but she is not earning but staying with parents who are also not having a very good income.all of their status is green card.
what should i do to get into US for 2-3 weeks in december?
    Kindly advice

spouses of green card holders ; it is almost impossible to get a visitor visa.
the reason is non-immigrant intent required for a visitor visa which is in direct conflict with immigrant intent due to marriage to a gc holder.

your best bet is H-1 or an L-1 visa ; you do not require a non-immigrant intent for these 2 visas. So look for another H-1/L-1 sponsor .

I think the consulate expected you to provide additional information in the form of end client letter. It must be 221(g).

Why don't you contact your employer in US to arrange the same for you.

Because with new H1B process, you may never know, if you will get through the lottery system.

Or you need to try for L1 transfers.

yes you are right.it is 221 g. my consultant says it is very difficult to get the client letter while here in India.earlier they used to send the consultants to usa and there itself they used to market the people, but from last year it has changed a lot.

is there no other way I can go for 2-3 weeks to usa in december?
