I would like to post this message.
I am a full-time employee working for a Biotech company in the US currently on OPT. My H1 visa will start this Oct 2007. My sister applied for a visitors visa recently to visit me for 3 weeks this May and to attend my graduation ceremony. I had all the paper work in place and she was asked 2 questions:
1. what r u doing?
ans: 3 rd eng. have another year to finish my studies.
2. Is yr sister on H1?
ans: she is on OPT currently.
She was not asked anything else further, the visa person did not seem to check any of the documents or explain why the visa was rejected.
What can i do in order to re-apply for her visa and how long should i wait? Since i do nto even know why it was rejected, what are my chances of getting her visa accepted the next time.
ANy commenst/suggestions will be appreciated.
