Doubts to be cleared

I have some doubts to be cleared.
1. I am present drawing a salary of Rs.10000 to Rs.15000 a month but my cousin who is a permanent US citizen stated that he will be taking care of all my expenses. Will my salary be a constrain?
2. Is it ok if I hand over the documents to the Mumbai consulate 10 days before the interview date?
3. On my D-156 form on the right top corner it states that it expires on 09/30/2007 any my interview date is 10/05/2007. On my D-157 form it shows that it expires on 07/31/2005?? Could you explain what dates are these.

1) You seem to be ok with sponsorship but if you are young and single it is not enough to prove ties to the country. But no harm in trying

2) Yes anytime upto 5 days before the interview

3) These dates are assigned as required by law, if you got these forms from vfs website then you got the latest ones dont worry about the dates.

Yes, I am single and age 28, but have strong family ties in India. My whole family lives in India.
