Hi,
My girlfriend is from Brazil and she attempted to get a visitor's visa back in July. I was in Brazil with her when we filled out the form DS-156 in which she put that she was going to stay with me. In her first attempt when she was asked who I was she answered that I was her boyfriend, and the consular officer without saying anything else, deny her the visitor visa. I know I read that you cannot say that to a consular officer but unfortunately we had already filled out DS-156 online. Now the thing is this I am actaully wating for my interview to become a US citizen and after that I will apply to get here in the states as a K1 fiance visa and I didn't want her to lie the first time. Eventually, I will get here even if they deny fer visitor's visa.
Since I wanted her to come here and visit me(because I have no vacation left), I asked her to apply again, and she has a second interview at the end of october.
Even though she has a very slim chance to get her visitor's visa I would like to ask the gurus how do you guys think would be the best approach this time. I don't want her to lie because in the future she could have problems when she goes and apply for the K1.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!
