Query on H1 Approval Notice(I-797)

Hi

I have changed my employer effective from Oct-01-2007. My H1 transfer process has been initiated and the FEDEX receipt has been received so far.

Meanwhile, I would like to sponsor my mother-in-law for a visitor visa and she would be taking up the interview in the first week of Nov'07.

Please let me know if I-797 of my old employer would suffice or Do I need to wait for my new I-797 approval?
