  • Urgent Advice required regarding interview appointment

My Mom went for B2 visa interview in English at Chennai Consulate.
The person who went before my mother had a communication problem with the interviewer and it ended up in quarrel. The interviewer was very angry and that person was sent out by the security. My mom went next to that person, she was not even interviwed. The interviewer simply asked what was her mother tongue and has been told to book the interview appointment in her mother tongue and sent back. Her passport has been given back and they have not stamped any information like "Application Received" or "Visa Rejected" . But they took DS- 156 & DS - 157 .
I have to bring my mom in October end and we are not getting any dates in the regional language. Can we again book the appointment in English ?
So, do we need to pay the visa fees again ? or is there anything like revalidation of HDFC receipt ? or can we simply book the appiontment ?

    So confusing.. Please help.

I think you should write to the consulate detailing the issue this was clearly a gross error on their part. No one asked your mom if she was comfortable in english or not.

She should be able to go in for intwrview without an appointment as soon as possible.
