  • Gujarati/Hindi Appointments at Mumbai

I have been trying to get either Gujarati or Hindi Appointments at Mumbai for 3-4 months. Does anyone know what time is the best time to book an appointment for Gajaratis?

Please help. Please post here as soon as you see open spots.

    Thanks

So what happens if someone unsuccessfully tries a whole year to get such appointment? Do they require the whole procedure repeated and pay another round of fees/etc? Reading from the consulate website, it seems to be the case- or am I interpreting it incorrectly?

(I've been trying for a while too with no luck- me you and quite a few others, it seems)

same here. been trying for intw in marathi for my in-laws with no luck, from past 3 months.
heard if you try on thu-fri, you may get the appointment. all crap.
I had called the vfs mumbai guys as well fo rthis, and they told, they have no idea when the dates gets released and when they get filled up, its totally upon the consulate.
        So, just kip on trying.

I've tried that too- calling VFS is useless in this matter and gets you no where. Emailing them is fruitless as well since they will email back the same template response, which has no useful information- your best bet is just to read this forum for plenty of first-hand information.

I read from other users that the best time to check is Thursday/Friday. Although I also read that the available non-English appointments are gone in a matter of minutes/hours! So if we don't check it frequently on everyday basis, slim to none chances of us getting an appointment. Good luck to me, you, and the others in the same boat.

I noticed that if someone were to get a Hindi appointment from Kolkata, it is available right away! Perhaps those who are looking for a non-English appointment should move to Kolkata and once they become a resident there then they could apply at Kolkata consulate! Might be faster.. (I'm joking)

If you don't get an appointment within 1 year after paying, you have to start all over again by paying again.

Even I am trying to get appointment for my parents in Gujarati from last 2 months ..no luck.

What shall we do? Can I take English appointment and then ask for interpreter there at the consulate on the day of interview?

No, you can't do that. You have to keep looking for Gujarati appointment.
