Hi,
I am on H1B visa and I am planning to apply for a visitor visa for my parents next month, in the list of required documents I saw I-797 is required. I have recently changed my employer and have applied for visa transfer and I was told by my attorney that normal processing is now a days taking more than 2 months. I have
1) I-797 of my previous employer
2) I-797C the receipt and EAC number for the transfer applied
3) Visa stamping on my passport.
4) Letter from my new employer stating my start date, salary and designation.
With it be ok to give my old I-797 with a copy of the receipt for the transfer as I haven't yet received my new I-797 ? I will be attaching the paystubs from my new employment.
