Cover Letter

Hi

I have my interview in nov.what are the documents I am supposed to hand over to the VO when i approach the counter initially. I know they give me my passport, DS156 in a folder after initial verification. Am I supposed to give only this to the VO or can I place the cover letter along with the above docs(passport,Ds156) and hand it over to the VO.

Here's what I posted to someone else's query:

One of my employee's father-in-law makes a simple/neatly organized (it's even labeled.. I've seen it, very professional looking) folder of all his latest documents and just submits it all with the application to the officer. He has never been denied a visa or entry.

I hear that they interview hundreds per day, I truly doubt if the visa officer will care (or have time) to read your cover letter- seems unnecessary.
