    Hi

My in-laws are having appointment next week, My wife and Brother in law both are here in US. Do my in Laws have to state that my B-I-L is in US or can they say he is in India. Will the consulate come to know if they say he is is India.

I want them to tell the truth however i am worried about the result as both there daughter and son are in US. They might think they are potential immigrants.

We are showing property in india but stil dont want to take a chance.

Pls advice, if somebody has the similiar situation at the earliest

    thanks

I am under the exact situation now...

I am awaiting a response too...

Basically my question is, apart from the verbal confirmations and examining the documents, are there any other background check that is currently being done to identify such cases ?

My question is, is it just the Visa officer who checks these, or is there any other mechanism ??

There are numerous instances of my friends and relatives supressing the info, only divulging only what is necessary. They have all suceeded. In my case too my dad is still working and in a very good designation and we have a good property value, however, the only drawback, both of us - my sister and I are here
