  • Applying for Brother's Visa 2nd time. your Precious advice needed

I am applying for my brother’s visitor visa (15 yr old) for the second time, rejected last month although my parents were granted 10 year visa. (I invited them for my graduation in December).

Brother’s visa got rejected saying.” Law does not permit us to give visa to him”

We got the letter from my brother’s school stating that he has board exam in march’08 And he has to come back within a month or he will be expelled from school.

I am little confused that what kind of question should we expect from Visa officer this time??????
(My dad will be there at the interview with my brother as one parent can accompany a child younger than 16 years.)

I also want to thank knowledgeable and rathi for their valuable comments on my previous posts.

I really want my brother and parents to be here on my graduation together.
Any input, comments or advice will be really helpful for me.

    Thank you all.

    Amazing ...

It's indeed amazing to see such a remark for your brother's visa.

Of course, you should definitely re-apply, but with a little research. See what others post herein.

Consult an immigration attorney and see what he/she tells you, it'll be worth the couple of hundred bucks fee and save you some frustration later on.

If everything on your side is crystal clear, I would want to get AMCON to clarify about the remark.

Fax to your local representative or senator and ask for their help. It's election time, so they'll be all ears!

    Good luck.

Thanks again knowledgeable, last month interview they did not ask a single question regarding my brother. so this time as we are applying for my brother alone, the whole concentration will be on him. "IF" at this time too they will give the same remake as last time, I'll definitely do what you said.

any other comments or advice on possible questions at the time of interview will be really helpful for me.

      Thanks again knowledgeable.

Other young people have got visa

Lots of other young people I personally know, have got visa, easily from AMCON.

There's no such "law" that I'm aware of which can prohibit them from giving visa to your brother, unless there's a special situation with him or you that I don't know.

Good luck to you and your family.
