Name split by consulate on Visa, what to do

My father-in-law got his passport after visitor visa stamped for 10 Y (Multiple entry) from mumbai consulate. His name on the passport is "Lastname Firstname" all together in Given name col and Last name is blank. But consulate has divided his name as "Lastname" in Given Name and "firstname" in Last Name on Visa. Please advice what to do? Shall we request consulate to change it as in passport?
