visitor visa:clarify strong ties

I have a strange case here.I would like to sponsor a visitor visa to my mom.
But my parents are seperated(not divorced though) and my mom stays with her brother.
1)I am wondering how can she show strong ties back home.
2)What shud my mom answer if they ask about my father and financial documents?
