  • sponsor's affidavit of support I134 validity

    Hi

We had applied for my mother-in-law's visitor visa 3 months back, that time we had sent I134 (affidavit of support form)along with all other sponsor's documents.
That time my mom-in-law's visa got refused.
Now we are reapplying for the same visa after 3 months.
So we are sending a new set of sponsor's documents. We are not sure whether we can use the same I134 this time. Do we have to do a new I134 or canwe use the old one since we had it done just 3 months back?

    Thanks

most important is why was her visa denied? Unless her situation has changed and she can prove strong ties to her country, then a new set of the SAME documents is going to have the SAME results...

Recommended not to use the old one. Your bank will notarize it for free.

I have an L1 visa and my wife is on L2 visa which has expired in may 2007 but I94(based on L2 visa) is valid through 2009. What happened is my wife also has a 10 year B1/ B2 visa.
So when my mother-in-law went to the consulate in August, the Consular officer said that he wanted some clarification on my wife's Visa(he has rounded off the B1/B2 on my wife's passport photocopy) since her L2 visa was expired and B1/B2 was valid. With that reason they didn't give the visa.
Later we wrote an e-mail to the Embassy to clarify about the visa status, they replied back that we can try for our mom-in-law's visa once again.
Do you think by writing a detailed covering letter to the consular officer explaining the visa situation and sending it with our mom-in-law during the interview will help improve the chances?
Besides are there any other supporting documents I can send?

        Thanks
