Hi everyone.
I am sponsoring my mother-in-law to visit USA under visitor's visa.
I am currently in India on vacation. I want to get the I-134 Form (Affidavit of Support) Notarized.
The instructions on I-134 form states that if I 'am outside USA , I must visit a U.S.Consualr or Immigration officer to notarize my document.
I have below questions:
a)Does U.S.Consulate in Chennai provide Notary services?
b) If so, What is the process I should follow to get the I-134 form notarized? Should I schedule an appointment or can I walk-in? Is there a fixed time for walk-in? Should I stand in line along with other Non -Immigrant visa interviewer or is there a separate entrance I can enter to avail notary services?
c) What is the fees?
d) What proof of identity documents should I bring for notarizing? Is passport enough for proof of identity?
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Albert
