  • will trying to enter the us affect future visa applications

    Hi all
I apologise for all the questions but I am desperate to see my girlfriend again. I am now going to fly to Canada so we can at least see each other and was thinking about trying to enter the us under the vwp. I was rejected for an extended tourist visa on Monday and know the chances are slim of actually getting in but what I want to know is if I do try will it affect my visa application when I later try to apply for a K1 or H1b visa?

You applied for a tourist visa or for an extension of the visa you already have?

Either way, USCIS knows that your visa was denied and that you are an immigration risk. You may be denied entry.

I applied for a tourist visa as it is longer than VWP. I have spoken to the consulate in london who said that I can try and get in on the vwp but I should take lots of evidence on my intent to return to the uk. Any Ideas what sort of things I should have. Obviously I will have return flights and I have got a job lined up for february and a doctors appointment for my dad as he requires surgery in March. What else should I take?
