Many thanks to ImmiHelp, we have gone through the information on this website in detail, read through the forums for list of Qs. My parents attended telugu visa appointment last week(2nd time), First time they attended in feb 2007 and got rejected. here is the list of Qs asked:
Mom & Dad: Good morning!
lady VO: Good Morning!
VO: have you come for visa before
Dad: Yes
Vo: what is your designation and where do you work
Dad: xxx (Dad is working and will be retired in mar08)
Vo: how many months do you want to visit US
Dad: 2months
VO:How many children do you have
Dad: 3 daughters 2 in India and 1 in USA
VO: Are they married
Dad: 2 Elder daughters are married
Vo: Do you have any sons
Dad: No (dad said vo was stressing on this)
Vo: Do you have any grandchildren
Dad: No
Vo: So is your younger daughter in US
Dad: Yes
Vo: what is her legal status in USA
Dad: xxx
VO; What does she work
Dad: She works as xxx in xxx company
Vo:Where does she live
Dad: xxx address
VO: IF her company is in Michigan how is she living in Virginia
Dad: She works at her client place in virginia. client is xxx
VO: Can I see her documents
Dad: Yes. (VO has gone through all the sponser documents in detail, she took almost 10mins to read through the docs and checking on her computer)
Vo: Do you have any property in India
Dad: yes, we have own house, xxxFds, other property etc. Dad was about to give her all the property documents
Vo: No thats fine
Vo: Congratulations we are granting 10yrs visa to both of you.You can stay for more than 2months also but not more than 6months. If we came to know that you stayed more than 6months we can cancel your visa.
Dad: Thank you. We will be staying only for 2months.
No Qs to my Mom.
quite a few Qs asked but this time we prepared them well, took mock interviews and explained about all the docs.So I think that helped.
