Hi, I could not find a link in your website to post a question to you.So I am utting it in an email. Please advise:
I work for a reputed software firm and will be traveling (H1-X) on a long term assignment to US early next year. I have a baby who will turn 6 months by then. My wife too is employed in the same company and is expected to travel on H1. I want to invite my parents so that they can be with us to help us look after the baby.
Qns:
1) Should I leave for US first and only then ask my parents to apply for visa? i.e., is there a possibility for a successful visa application if they say I am still in India and they would like to travel along with me?
2) The VO will know for sure that my wife and baby will be traveling to US. So, I am all the more anxious that they might reject their visa assuming this is a case of ‘baby-sitting’. Are my fears valid?
3) I do not have the necessary funds in my US bank account ($5000*2) to support my parents. My friend in US is willing to transfer the money to my account. Does this help or can this requirement be relaxed because both me and my wife will be earning in US?
4) I do not want my parents to travel alone since this is their first trip abroad. Hence I might want to ask my wife to delay her travel until my parents get their visa or until I build up sufficient funds in my bank account. Is this a possible solution?
5) Please advise me what is the best approach to get my parents to US in the earliest possible time??
Thanks,
