Hello,
I am an Indian citizen looking to bring my mother and my mother-in-law to the US on a visitor's visa. From the information I gathered from your fantastic website, my understanding is the more assets I show in the US and India, the better the chances of the visas getting approved. While I have better financial assets to show in the US , all my assets in India are on my wife's name, thus showing she has better assets in India.
What I would like to know is,
a) is there an option where my wife and I can jointly sponsor our mothers visit or does it have to always be just one sponsor?
b) if it has to be just one applicant for each sponsorship, would my wife sponsoring my mother-in-law be more successful? While she has more assets to show in India, she is in the US as a dependent on me, on a L2 visa, with a monthly income just over $1000 a month.
Any advice / recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
