Leave Sanction and NOC(No Objection Certificate)

Hi, My parents have Visa appointment and my father is a Govt Employee. Is it mandatory to have both NOC and Leave sanction letter? Or just the NOC is fine.
And NOC original copy is submitted in the passport office, is it ok if my father shows Xerox copy of NOC. Please help me in this regards. I have gone through the Forums and some of them posted that both are not required, either is fine and some posted that both NOC and Leave sanction Letter are required. Please let me know whether both are necessary or just NOC is fine. Thanks

Hi Jans,
I is advisable for your father to carry either NOC or leave sanction letter for the visa interview. The duration of leave should be mentioned in these docuemnts and the document should be in original.

Apart from anything, these documents will prove the genuinity of your father's employment and requirement to return to India before the stipulated date.
