Visitor visa for in laws

Hi,

I have my H1B getting expired in March 08 and filed for extension (premium) and I have booked for visa appointment in Mexico 30Jan2008.

My moms visa got rejected 2 months back. Now i want to apply for my in-laws in India. Is it okay to book an appointment before 30Jan08 (my appointment date in Mexico) or do you suggest to book after this.

It would be best if you apply after you get your H1B stamped.

She still has to overcome 214(b) on her own though.
