  • Applying for B2 in another country?

    Hi
Just wondering if you can apply for a visa at a US consulate in another country (if you are visiting it for a few months) rather than going back to your home to do it? And if you were previously denied one under 214 B can you ? Also one more ?? if you were denied entry under the VWP can you not travel under that ever again? Thanks so much.

Unless you have some sort of long legal status in that country (like working or studying) not merely visiting, then you probably won't be allowed to apply for a visa in that country. US Consulates and embassies usually do not entertain petitions by visitors to a country.

Also if you have been denied under 214(b) and also under VWP, your chances of entering under VWP are minimal.
