I have applied for an appointment date for my mother in hindi. She cannot speak english. In DS-156, I gave my name as preparer and has signed in preparers column. My question to you is in the applicant signature column of DS-156, is it ok if my mother signs in Hindi, or does she have to put thumb impression? Please note that in her passport, she has thumb impression, as she cannot sign in English.
