  • Fathers Visit Visa 2nd Attempt DS156 Correction

During start of this month my Father's Visit Visa got rejected.

Reason ... they just said 214(b).

    So we are re-applying.

Sponsor as before is my Brother who is having GC.
    I am currently on H1B
Last time in DS156, we just mentioned my brother GC. We forgot to mention my status. This time I am thinking of mentioning both my of our status in DS156. Will this created problem while interview ?

Also we want to mention this time that my father is not travelling alone but with my Mother (who already have visa). Should I be doing this ?

    Please Help

The problem is not the lack of sponsors in the USA. The problem is that your father failed to provide enough strong ties to his home country, not sponsors in the USA.

Until the situation changes, and he can demonstrate he will not immigrate to the USA, then it is a waste of money reapplying for the visa... specially so shortly after the application was denied.

      Thanks for the feedback.

I am planning for next interview by Feb that should be 3 months from previous one.

And this time, we will produce Affidavit, Blocked Ticket and Itinerary.
My dad cant show documents related to work as he runs a very small shop.
Is there anything else which can help ?

Affidavits, blocked tickets, itinerary don't mean a thing. The US consulate looks for strong ties to home country so that your Dad will return back. You mentioned he has a small shop and no other evidence to show he has strong ties to india. More over your mom already has a visa so the chances aof them together settling down in US is higher in the VO's view. I am not sure you can do much to change the situation.
