Visa appointment together or separate?

Hello!

I am sponsoring my mom & my niece (15 years) to visit USA for 2 months. I have following questions

1) I have created a separate set of sponsor documents for both of them but I have mentioned the fact that I am inviting my niece as well in my mom's invitation letter and vice versa. Is this ok?

2) Is it ok to schedule one interview for both of them or shall they go separate for interviews?

3) Since my niece is just 15 years old, will she be allowed to take one of her parents with her?

4) Any other tips you have for this case?
