I plan to sponsor visitor visa for my parents. In the list of document, I see that I need to provide my H1 visa copy. The problem is that my H1 visa is expiring in next 4 months and my company needs to file for a new one (since I have 1.5 of the 6 years left on my H1). So can I go ahead and send the sponsor documents will this H1 visa or should I wait for the new H1 visa? Does the duration of the sponsors stay in US affect the length for which the applicant gets the visa?
