I am planning to bring my mother for visiting...I would like to know 2 things 1. what is the minimum annual income needed to sponsor 2. Is it possible to sponsor jointly like me & my wife...Please advise.

1.- there is not a "set rule" on this, the more the better.
2.- yes.

ps: visitor visas are obtained on own merit, so your mother must overcome 214(b) on her own, regardless of your sponsorship, she must show ties to her home country.
