Processing time for VSC for B2 extension

I just saw the dates on the processing time for VSC for I-539 and it says June 18 2007 (posted on Dec 14, 2007). Does this mean that an application filed on June 18 2007 was processed as of Dec 14, 2007?

If anyone here processed an extension recently, how soon did you hear from the Vermont center? When did the receipt and the final decision arrive?

On the USCIS website what sort of information is given when you enter the receipt code?

Also are there any significant advantages to e-filing?

Hi,

Just to give you a perspective.
Sent in extension for B2 visa for aunt- August 10th. They received the application August 16th, send in receipt August 20th, 2007. Her visa expired on November 4th. She asked for six month extension but is going back earlier on March 15th. We are still waiting for an answer. The website says they are processing applications from July 23rd as of January 15th so it will be at least till Mid February at the earliest that she will get an answer. We are just hoping it is a yes and that we get the paper before March 15th.
Oh..Online they state when they recieved the appliation and when they sent the receipt. That is all-no other updates.

013008 Update: Just got an email (I signed up for email update online) and it said the approval letter was sent. Keep up the hope. The whole process took about 5 and a half months... Sent in application the 10th of August, they got it the 16th got approval on the 30th of Januray.
