Finger print

Pls advise Consulate take the finger print of which finger and can I know the colour of vfs slip that we need to attach with our Ds156.

They are taking fingerprints of all 10 fingers. In Mumbai consulate they did the following for my parent's :
Left hand 4 fingers together on the machine, then right hand 4 fingers together, left and right thumb side-by-side.

Mother Fingerprints are not readable

Hi All,

My mother attended for Tourist Visa interview and gave the fingerprints at Chennai recenlty. She came back home expecting the Passport with Visa stamping in the mail. She got a call from Chennai and she need to go back to Chennai for submitting the fingerprints. She is 70 years old.

My question to fellow members is what happens if the consulate unable to get the fingerprints second time. My suspicion is because of my mother age and her fingers might got weared out making it is difficult to get the fingerprints.

Anyone was in this situation before ?

1. If the second attempt failed then do the consulate takes biometrics ( Eye retina scan etc.)
2. I read from GC experiences that second attempt fails then consulate wants a police report from the applicant's local town.

Any feedback is highly appreciated in this matter.
