  • How long to get an appointment

I applied tourist visa for my aunt last week in VFS system. Whenever I tried to confirm for the appointment, I got the message "appointment is not currently available check back in 24 hours". but the appointment was never available for a week. Because the application was saved for a week, today I couldn't retrieve the application, I think it got deleted. Any one knows how long it takes to get an appointment, and how often we have to check the system to confirm the appointment. Please anyone knows the answer help me. Thanks

Every week I've been doing that whole cycle of filling out the application/losing it after 7 days, and checking on their system three to four times a day for the past 5 months- still no luck in getting any appointment for a regional language interview at Mumbai Consulate. Maybe you'll have a better luck than me.

Thank you MKapoor. I will try for the time you mentioned. It seems like other people are on the same boat.

How long to get an appointment

i faced the same problem when i was trying to get a visa appointmen for my mom. Guys you will never get a visa appontment if you are selecting for a regional language. I contacted an agent who charged RS. 500 and got me an appointment withing 7 days. The agent told me that Mumbai consulate never opens appointment for regional language, you should select for English and at time of interview mention whichever regional langauge you want.

Catch hold of an agent, they put a team of people which are online 24x7 to book appointments.

I am also trying to get appointments for my mom and dad in Marathi or Hindi language at mumbai consulate. But I am getting same message as u wrote that dates are not available and try in 24 hrs. But I am trying since Dec 07 and still didn't see any date for these languages whereas dates in English keep opening.

Can you give me phone no. and name of that agent who could give u date in 7 days. Also does he help in other things also like doing other paperwork or just will get the dates?

Some people told me now a days they have stopped giving interpreters and so if u select date in English u have to give interview in English only. Whereas I saw some posts on this forum saying their agent took date in English and told them to ask for interpreter when they go in the consulate.

I am so confused with these things going with Mumbai consulate, realy can't understand what to do.
