visa waiver extension

I'm in the US on a visa waiver ...the departure date on my i-94w is the 4th of March i want to stay 1-3 weeks past that date as my husband who is in the army will be deployed to afganistan sometime in March and i want to stay untill he leaves ....i want to find out if there is any way to extend my stay?? What departments should i contact about this?? Would immigration allow me to stay due to special circumstances??
