Affidavit of Support - for sponsoring parents ??

Hi,

I am new to this site...so pardon me if this topic has been dead beaten...please provide me with the link for the same...

In short ,

Can we use our stock enrollments/investments and 401k to show along with the account balance in the affidavit... ??

Equities yes, 401K no

You can use your equities or bonds investments that can be immediately liquefied if required added to your financials.

However, 401K does not constitute this and you cannot show those numbers.

401K is your retirement fund and it's not looked upon in good light if you show that you may withdraw those funds.
