Documents should be submitted to Pune VFS-Office before actual interview in MUMBAI??

I have scheduled the tourist VISA interview for my parents and sister in the Mumbai Consulate on 11th Feb in English but my Parents stay in Pune and I have heard that we have to submit papers to Pune VFS office (Sohrab Hall) 1 week in advance.

Is this for real?
