Regarding Parents visit visa to USA

Hi Sir/Madam,

I was delighted to visit your site. My Parents applied for visit visa for
USA and my Mother got multiple visa and my Father got a Pink process slip under section 221(g) and it says its better to wait for 4 weeks.
Need your advice on following, Appreciate your help.

My Parents got Canadian visit visa a month ago and are planning to visit
my brother in Canada. Should they go ahead and plan their visit to Canada?

Is there a way we can approach at US Embassy in Canada, if we see any
update on the website regarding the case no?

They can visit Canada.
But they can't follow up with US embassy in Canada.
