mistake in DS156

Hi Friends,

I have booked an appointment for my parents in US Chennai consulate.

but I already canceled one time and in second time for my mom DS156 form
by mistake I have selected sex as male.

how can I update the sex in DS156 form.

if I canceled second time my mom HDFC DD will be deactivate for 90 days.

please could help me regarding this issue and procedure....

Easy

It's easy, just let the officer know about it during the interview.

Don't cancel the appointment for this reason.

you can modify your application without cancelling it.
Go to VFs site and click on Retreive/modify application.
It won't cancel the appointment. It will let you make changes to the applications, as I did the same for my Mom application!

I am trying same think in VFS site i am selecting the DS156 form and when i

opend it is disable for upto 20 columns.

the column 13. Sex. it is disable for my mom 156 form.

please can u help me how u done

yesterday i called chennai VFS help and they told me that i cant change the genter column

Hi Babu,
It is easy to inform VFS or the VO at the time of interview about the small mistake made. VFS or VO will correct the mistake. Please do not worry on this. Please prepare them well with mock interviews. That is all required. Do not cancel the interview. Good Luck
