Appointment on saturday

Dear Sir/Madam,

My mom got an Appointment on 9 Feb which is saturday. Just want to double check that VFS in Mumbai is opened on saturday too.

Does that mean she won't have an interview on 9 Feb. She got an interview letter saying that her interview is scheduled at 11:30 AM in Hindi language. Can you please reconfirm. If she does not have her interview then do I need to schedule another appointment for her.

Her initial appointment was in March in English language, I cancelled that and took the one on 9 Feb. Am I eligible to cancel once more and reschedule her appt.

I would appreciate all your help.

Call the VFS and check with them.Have you send all the documents to your mom.For mumbai consulate you have to submit the papers before five working days.Thanks

if the appointment was set at the vfs site then the appointment is genuine. There are times when they do work on Sat if they reschedule for some reason, or the demand is high.

If the appointment was fixed through official channels why would you want to question it I do not understand

Yes I did send all the documents and they will be submitting required documents to VFS centre in Pune on Monday.

My sister did call the VFS office in Mumbai and the lady said she will confirm it. My sister then called again and she said if it is showing open on the site then it is open.

Since it is mentioned by one of the members that they are sometimes open on Saturday, I am assuming that her appoinment date is valid.

I will keep checking the forum till saturday incase anything comes up.

what time did you check the site and it was available.

Hi,

I checked around 11:00 PM on thursday night and only 9 Feb was available.
I later rechecked at 1:00 AM and 14, 25 and 26 of Feb were available.

I have selected 26 feb as English on Monday

I remember 1 year back there was an option to modify the date ,but i cant see that.

1)If I see any date available in Hindi ,should I have to cancel the whole application.

2)As you said 26Feb Hindi was available so can I get Hindi transalator on 26Feb if I ask for.

Yes you will have to cancel the whole application and fill new forms. I would recommed there is no harm in cancelling once and trying to see if you can get a date Friday or saturday evening.

In the worst case you can reschedule another appt in English.
