Visa renewal

Hi,

My parents have a valid US visa till Jan2008. How much before their visa
expires can they apply to renew their visa. They are currently in India and intended to travel to us between Dec and Feb. I know that they can enter US till Jan 2008 and Visa is only required for entry and their actual stay is determined by I-94, but to be safe, I want to know if they can get a visa renewal before they come to US.

There is no concept of renewal. They will have to apply all over again, and they can do that at any time.
