  • Dad got rejected 2nd time

My Dad visit visa got Rejected second time today, first one was in Nov.

This time also, the VO asked same Questions:
    1. Why are u going: Answer Tourism
    2. Who is calling: My son
    3. What is he doing in US: Working in XYZ Company
    4. Where all u have visited till now: Holy Pilgrim places ....

Thats it and VO said sorry.
VO didnt look at any document. My father tried to show him some but he refused and said "Please go"

We had prepared all the document as per this and other sites and took them in the same way as mentioned in this site: in 3 files.
But all was a BIG WASTE as the VO didnt even look at them...

Every sites says that VO have very little time and they are trained very well to judge a person. But I DONT understand what they can judge by these 4 standard question.

My Dad was saying that VO already had rejection paper in his hand before even starting any questions... this means the questions were just for formalities...

My Dad also said that it was late and only 2 counter remained opened and each and every person before him, for atleast last one hour, were coming out in 2-3 minutes with the passport (meaning rejection)

Now what is this ... Should not we believe that its to do with Quota or it all depends on VO or its just that US wants to make $130 per Indian as the rates are going done with the US Economy.

How can with these 4 Qs a visitor can prove his ties in India and that he is not a potential immigrant !!!

Now on only basis we can apply is to take same set of documents and WISH that we get a good VO, but is it worth compared to putting my old Dad back into tremendous STRESS, which he goes through before each interview.

I dont know what to do.

    Experts please Help.

What were the questions asked the first time?

You dad applied the second time after a gap of just 3 months. In such a short time frame what significant change in his situation could you have shown for the VO to come to a different conclusion compared to the previous time.

        Age: 66
        Prof: Shop (Ready Made Garments)

These two are mentioned in DS-156
So do you thing this might have caused them to suspect.

Even during first time they asked the same question as this time.
Not a single page of document was seen.

Owning a shop in itself is not a disqualification. If you have not shown high enough income from the shop the VO can easily assume that your dad can stay back in USA and easily earn more by working illegally. Also did your dad show a good amount of assets in terms of movable/immovable properties as an indication of strong ties with India? What about other strong ties like children etc. ?

My Friend, the problem is we have all the documents to show ties but the VO didnt ask for ANY document nor does he was ready to see ANY paper.

This was the case in both the times. Now how can we prove him any ties if he does not ask any Question or Doc.
