Hi,
My age is 58 & have retired from India. Since I have have opted for PF , I am not getting pension. My wife is 55 yrs old. I have one son , married & is working in USA. Daughter-in-law also works in USA. They are in US since 2001. They did their MS in US. We have one daughter aged 27 &is unmarried & is working at Bangalore. I have House property & my total means is Rs 40,00,000 /-. I sustain on monthly bank interest of Rs 10,000 /-. My son visited India in December 2005. He is on H1B visa.
We had visa interview on the 6th June 2007 at 10 am at Chennai. The Visa Officer asked the following questions:-
Q. Who is in USA ?
Ans My son Mam.
Q. What is he doing ?
Ans He is working in Pennsilvania State
Q. How many Children you have ?
Ans. I have 1 son & 1 daughter.
Q. Only 1 son & 1 daughter ???
Ans Yes Mam.
Q. What your daughter is doing ?
Ans She is working in Bangalore.
Q. For how long do you wish to visit USA ?
Ans. Around 6 months.
Q. Where were you working ?
Ans. I was working in Union Bank Of India.
Q. As What ?
Ans As Asst Branch Manager.
Q. Do you get Pension ?
Ans No Mam.
Visa Officer:-- SORRY your visa is rejected under 214 B
Please tell me on what logic the visa was rejected & also tell me th ways as to how we should be able to get visa during our next interview likely to be taken in October 2007. Will it be proper if I produce Employment certificate from a private company in which I am joining as Accountant from 1st July 07. This was not reflected in previous DS 156.
Looking forward for your response in this regard at the earliest.
