Respected Sir/Madam,

My name is Dr.Mohammad Nasir. I am planning to apply for a B1/B2 Visa to the US. On the Form DS-156 it asks whether you have ever filed for an immigration visa petition. Recently I applied for the green card lottery (Electronic Diversity Visa Lottery), but have not received any confirmation. Does simply applying for the green card lottery constitute having filed for immigration?

I would be greatly obliged if you would reply at the earliest.
