Hi all,
Since I am a new member, I would like to thank everyone that participates in this forum for all the brilliant ideas and advice. I am in some kind of dilema and would appreciate any adice on this. I am originally from Kenya but I live here in the Uk with my wife. Have lived here for about 3 years now. I applied for a US visa to travel to the US for our honeymoon before we got married and ofcourse my application was rejected. I was on a 6months visa then, was not in employment, not in school and wasn't married either. Its been a year since and at present, am in full time Education at University, I work and married as well. My wife is in full time work, owns a house and she is British.Not alot of saving but just comfortable.
I was denied under section 214 and from what the officer circled on the refusal letter, it seemed like he was concerned that I was not a permanent resident here. We wish to visit my brother in law for one week in June, he is an American citizen I have a residency permit now but I am not sure if I should try applying from here in London again or I should go back to Kenya and apply from there. I dont have alot in Kenya, just one propery and a few shillings on my account. It's confusing since UK is the country of my usual residence now. I might be wrong though. Can any one please advise me accordingly?
