Volunteer work

Hello,

I was hoping you could tell me if i needed a green card or some other sort of card to work in the USA for a maxium of 2 weeks over my easter holiday (being march 15th till 7th april) for work experience meaning i would not be staying permanently and i would not be earning money?
I have lived in England since birth and have British parents(both who have also lived here since birth). I'm 19 studying advertising at a university (in my 2nd year out of 3) and i would be looking to do my experience in California, LA.

I hope you can help with my question.

You can do volunteer work. You can't get paid anything for that work.
