  • B2 VISA Application Constraint

    Hi,
My VISA(L1B) is going to expire on 10th April,2008 and I have just prepared the documents for the extension(Not even submitted to USCIS yet).
Now I am planning to bring my parents in March 1st,2008 for 6 months and prepared all the documents accordingly.
Please suggest whether it will be a problem at the time of their VISA Interview because I am anticipating a question for my parents like "How come your son invited you for 6 months because his VISA is valid only for a month from now?"
    So please suggest whether
    1. Still I should take a chance and ask my parents to be prepared saying "My son is going to file for an extension. If that is approved we will be staying for 5/6 months otherwise will return in 1 month."

    2. I should apply their VISA only for 1 month thinking that at least they will get for 6 months and then proceed accordingly.

    3. I should have to wait till I get the new approved petition and then only I should start plan on their travel.

    Please suggest.

the first option is fine, though their stay is independant of your stay, they dont need you to in USA for tourism purposes do they.

No Not really..but thinking of the matter what if they say how come he can invite u for 5-6 months because he himself doesn't know whether he will be permitted to stay there or not
      or
What is ur alternate plan if ur son comes back..

I was thinking about self sponsored visa also..
