  • Help in fliing up DS-156

I am shortly going to apply for a visit visa to the US with my wife.
In the form DS156 there is a question (24) which asks to state the address of stay in America.
As I am not making any firm accomodation and travel plans till my visa is approved I would like to know how I should answer this question.
I had earlier applied for the same type of visa in jan 2006 and was rejected.
In my last application I had mentioned that I would be staying with some friends of ours. But this time they are not going in America during the time I propose to visit america.I will not be meeting them this time.
Do i need to give their details this time around??
    Appreciate an early answer.

You plan ahead and should have an idea where you are going, so give an address. Plans may change, but for now give the most likely place you will be going to.

Hi,Thanks for the immediate help...Is it ok if I give an address of a hotel I intend to stay in at 1 of the city's I intend to go to???

Also as I asked earlier, is there a necessity for me to mention the address of the friends that intended visiting the last time I applied for a visa??I willbe unable to see them this time...
      Please advise.

You can put the hotel, but you should have a reservation confirmation too, just in case they ask for it.

No need to mention your friend's address, specially if you won't be staying with them.
